Wink The freighters pour into Brisbane day in and day out while I watch from the shore.  Having not yet taken a trip I would like to sample a trip say from Brisbane to Melbourne/Adelaide or Perth - then fly home.  Can any one help?

Hi Hutch

You will have several options for a short trip departing from Brisbane - either south to Melbourne/Adelaide, east to NZ or north to SE Asia.

You need to contact any of the agents listed on my bookings page - you can email them directly from the request form - they will give you the info you need.

I am also from Brisbane - love to watch the ships go by Caloundra - what did you find out about coastal travel?  Have been on a lot of cruise ships but would like to do the freighter thing.  Start local and expand further afield.

hi people ..

Intership

http://www.intership-cyprus.com/

may be a good bet for a short passsage out of Brisbane ..

i am hoping to do one of their *Pacific Forum Line* vessels at the end of Feb.

to Melbourne, and i think this is possible only if they have no passengers booked

for a longer passage (their rotation is  Aus. (Bris., Syd., Melb.) - Fiji/Tonga/Samoa)

shall endeavour to keep you posted ..

Bruca ..
