I am trying to find out information about taking my motorcycle, me, and my side mounted surfboard to Costa Rica for a 3 week vacation and return. Anybody out there know anything about the banana boats out of Port Manatee in Tampa bay?? Thanks

There are some voyages of about 2-3 weeks duration, which depart from and return to Florida, doing a circuit of various Caribbean/Central American countries - if you take a look in my 'Voyages' section, you will find a link to Judd Spittlers trip (this trip does not go to Costa Rica, but I think there are other similar voyages that may call there).
Taking a motorbike is not impossible, but it will really complicate things - I'm sure it would be cheaper and easier to just hire one in Costa Rica.
If you want to stay in Costa Rica for 3 weeks, you will probably have to end your voyage there and fly home - it is unlikely that you will find a shipping line that lets you get off and continue your voyage 3 weeks later.
Use my 'Bookings' page to contact an agent about the same shipping line that Judd used - but you will have to make some compromises as suggested above - if you want to travel by freighter, you need to be flexible.
A voyage like Judds is no problem - but I'm afraid that most agents will tell you that the exact trip you wish to take is next to impossible.
