America to Europe query

Hello All

I'm very new to this and having difficulty finding what i need. I am currently attempting to cycle around the world without flying, so far i have made it from London UK to South Korea. I have a freighter lined up to take us from here to Mexico. I will bike around America (north, south, central wherever!) and would like to get back home to the UK next summer. I'm having problems working out how to find a trip, i can travel from just about anywhere on the american continent though I need to do it as cheaply as possible as my funds are running low. Does anyone know of the cheapest route from the americas to the UK or Europe.

The cheapest transatlantic freighter is still going to cost the best part of $1000 one way, once insurances are paid on top etc.

A regular cruise liner MAY work out slightly cheaper, if you can find a special offer - but with cruises, the single supplement usually wrecks any headline savings.
