I'm trying to get to Australia from Florida in August on a small budget. I plan on staying in a tent once there, and it looks like the best form of travel for my needs is on a freighter. I was looking for anybody that has any information, I've never tried this means of travel before, so any information regarding price, length of trip, or even where to get on board would be helpful.

A freighter will be a LOT more expensive than an air ticket.
